About Erin Theatre
Erin Community Theatre started performing at Erin’s Centre 2000 theatre facilities shortly after the turn of the century. Eventually, the group became known as Erin Theatre. Always a volunteer operated, not-for-profit group, Erin Theatre now has full charitable status. We are committed to providing our audience with the highest calibre of live theatre. We encourage the community to join us – onstage, backstage or in the audience.
In addition to regular stage productions at Centre 2000, Erin Theatre developed a very loyal following for our Holiday Dinner Theatre productions, written exclusively for us by Susanna Lamy. These were staged at a local banquet hall in Erin for over ten years. We have also performed at Paul Morin Gallery in Alton. Currently, we are thrilled to be working in Acton, out of the beautifully restored Acton Town Hall.
Please visit our “Past Productions” page to see stunning posters of our plays from the past. All of these were designed by Erin Theatre member Susanna Lamy, a local artist and playwright.
Erin Theatre is a not for profit group. We have given back to the community through fundraising activities related to our productions. Thanks to very successful sales of our Calendar Girls calendar, we raised over $ 6000.00 for Bethell Hospice. Our silent auction of original art works used in The Art of Believing raised over $700.00 for East Wellington Community Services. We have also raised and donated funds to the Erin Air Cadets and The Junior Diabetes Foundation.
As a registered charity, we welcome sponsors who may choose to participate at various levels.
Donors of over $100.00 will receive a tax receipt as well as recognition in our programmes and on our website.
